Sorry for the delay. The results are posted on the results page. Just a few things I'd like to mention. Next year I'd like to see a Manny Contreras (Rice Street) vs Rob Brandt (WBL) Main Event bout at 165. They both have one under the belt and both were really exciting. The whole night was exciting. Alot of great fights. I really enjoy watching David Colon (ACR) and Jay Lee (Brunette's) box. Rodney Jefferson (Rice Street) is a beast and I'm dying to see what weight he comes in at USA's. Oh and Delano told me he doesn't know if he's fighting in USA's and he no longer going down to HVY. He's staying at 220.

ha....... delano train like a pro. i tried to talk to that punk at brunettes last saturday and he would not respond to me but its a joke to think he trains like a pro when he looks like a fat stuffed pig. the reason he wants to go down to heavy weight is because he is afraid of leni drelow Oh and Delano told me he doesn't know if he's fighting in USA's and he no longer going down to HVY. He's staying at 220.

MPLSman - why such harshness towards Delano. Granted he did not fight like he is capable of fighting but he was in there with a tough opponent and Delano has not fought in 9 Mos. It was a good fight to take, now he knows where he is and what he needs to do to get ready for the tournaments.
It was another great show at the Brunettes Gym. I thought the middle-weight bout between Brandt from WBL and Manny from Rice Street was a good one. I also liked the 147 Lbs. bout Chris Bruce (Brunettes) Vs. Maurice ? From Rochester, good action. What about Shawn Gibbons from Brunettes!! Pretty heavy handed kid for his first bout. The kid from Nigeria (Tolzmanns) looked good but that kid from Rochester gave him all he wanted.
It was a great night of boxing and another good crowd.

The kid from Tolzmann's is not from Nigeria - he's from Uganda (Ismail Muwendo). Much credit given to Ulises Gonzalez for his pressure and toughness, but Ismail's performance was substandard based upon his abilities and skills. Quite often youthfulness (19yrs) lacks confidence and experience - nonetheless, we're back in the gym immediately improving on these and other technical skills - looking forward to his next performance.

Ismail Muwendo is a good boxer. I definitely think he has a great olympic style. Scott, will he enter into the USA's?

As for the fights in Wadea how can cody mcmanible lose to a guy that is only in his second year of boxing? trent will NEVER beat hultin because hultin is just more skilled (even though he elects to brawl when he should box), tanner beat petro in an upset and corey thompson outboxed Dewayne very remincent of javontes win over dewayne in wadena last year. Looks like Wadena won't be have anyone in the upper midwest this year.

i lost to him because i have not trained since 2006 i was in iraq and i just got back it was my first fight and i wasnt training like i should have been. i choose to stand there and brawl with him even though i was giving up weight not taking anything away from him he beat me he got me to fight his fight i give him all the credit in the world. and if i can get some sparring in before umw i will be fighting at 132 or 141

Cody, thank you for serving America. It's a nasty dirty job you're being asked to do. If you go back, keep your hands up and your head on a swivel brother. We look forward to seeing more of you in the future.
