First off- let me enlighten Chris B with a little bit of knowledge... thug (thŭg) Pronunciation Key noun. A cutthroat or ruffian; a hoodlum. No where in the definition does it mention anything about money or race- its actions! Learn to control yourself. Anyways, I'm a recent fan of the amateur boxing scene in Minnesota and I have NEVER seen something so pathetic. As I watched adults, minors and even females (which is the most pathetic part of all) throw punches, chairs, name call and harass the boxers and their fans I was left with a very uneasy feeling in my stomach. It was obvious (even for a complete unbiased fan- never even having seen either boxer before), that before the matched even started that there was tension between the gyms and fighters. As a fan watching the bout once the 'fight' between the boxers started, it looked as if everyone in the ring (Al included) were trying to keep the boxers away from each other. After reading all the posts, there is some history behind Al's gym and a reputation that he has made for himself, which is why some of the fans may have reacted the way they did when he tried breaking of the boxers. I'm still uncertain why Al grabbed the other fighter (not his own). Regardless, it was a pathetic display of ignorant boxers who have no respect for the sport or themselves. Now, don't even get me started on the females involved- if you wanna talk like a 'dude' and act like a 'dude', you deserve EVERY bump or bruise you got! A little advice to the females that were running their mouths, or should I say screaming at the top of their lungs. Don't think, even for a minute, that if you lay your hands on a guy or try to debo him with your mouth that you don't deserve to get hit!! As for a rematch, ya right! You couldn't pay me to watch, support or condone that type of behavior. They should be banned from boxing for life- not their coaches, not their gyms- THE BOXERS. Take some responsibility for your actions!

Every other gym out there has been envious of the Brunettes for years. Get real, just admit the truth. They have always had the best trainned boxers, not to mention the best groomed, and best taken care of, so fess up and get over it. The Brunette gym was not out of line, WBL was totally acting out of envy and spite, they just don't have it, never did!

People leave them b/c they don't push or train thier fighters, thier is alot of hate in that gym thats why people leave them and cuz they chagre 200- 300 dollars to be their for 6 months thats a whole lot of money for a gym that doesn't do anything with thier fighters. they lie and cheat you. thats why people leave them thats why i left them.

Brunette's gym has really put a damper on the additude of amateur boxing this past year. If it isn't the rediculous riot at cantebury or the savage acting of felon George Chute, fans and other members of their gym back on March 23rd at regions. It just shows they have let their gym get out of control. I like Bobby Brunette, really don't know Brian, and know that Al cannot be trusted by some of his fighters. This really creates a sketchy gym for youth and anybody who wants to train there period.

From an unbiased opinion...although it was wrong and in some sense a slap in the face to amateur boxing..it was what is was..both fighters got hot headed and took it a little to far. Dont blame the gyms or their trainers for the fighters actions, it was all on themselves. Not to say that both bruce and hoshang are dirty fighters but the fight just got a little out of hand from what ive been reading. Im sure everyone did the most they could to provide safety for the fighters as well as other members involved in the interaction..however, people have to understand that its boxing and certain controversy will occur from time to time..dont punish the fighters for one small mistake as it could happen to any fighter during any given fight.. im sure both fighters have learned from this experiance and understand the consequences if it were to happen again....as far as the gyms i have tremendous respect for both WBL and Brunettes, and to blame this incident on the gym and coaches involved with the situation is absolutely absurd..moving on....many fighters have good reason to leave gyms whether it be because of location or financial problems. People should not blame coaches or other people invloved with a boxing gym for certain problems occuring with other fighters..that fighter more than likely has a good reason to change from one gym to another..evey gym looks out for its fighters and cares for them also..no boxing gym is there to just take a fighters money... trainers in my opinion will do anything to provide quality training but also a sense of support to any fighter novice through professionals..it is the passion for the sport of boxing that keeps trainers willing to pass their knowledge to younger fighters.. any gym or trainer that is simply there to take an individuals money and not provide the necessary training or knowledge to a young boxer should certainly not have anything to do with the sport of boxing..though i know every trainer and gym looks out for all of there fighters no matter what..so to say that it was the trainers fault as well as the whole organization is completely inconsiderate..every trainer/gym is passionate about the sport along with each one of its fighters and in this case i belive that everyone did anything tey could to stop this conflict..anyways i hate to rant but i just wanted to give my two piece about the whole situation
