Wow. What an embarrassing night for amateur boxing. I don't even know where to begin. I'm still in shock and utter disbelief. I will be writing a letter Jann Goodman or Sierra Samuels to let them know what happened....anyone have video of the riot?? Anyone? I try to keep my opinions to myself but I need to say this: anyone who can honestly sit there and say it was all Hoshangs fault, WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION!!!!!!!!

Not to mention I thought Hoshang was clearly winning that fight until it was stopped.

In no way at all was this hoshangs fault. The whole fight started because al brunette is a hot head and put hoshang in a head lock after hoshang was disqualified? Why? because chris bruce lost his temper because hoshang was beating him badly. After then, chris bruces fans got into it and were hitting hoshang while al held him. The only reason i and others supporting hoshang got into this, was to defend Hoshang, and we were the ones arrested? Al brunette should be ashamed. This isnt the first time he has embarassed the boxing community. I take everyone at face value, but tonight Al, you've just proven to me that everything people have said about you is true. I think Al should be banned from boxing, but we all know that will never happen... Im truly sorry to everyone who had to witness this.

A good night of boxing marred by a few hot-headed idiots - from all directions. I wouldn't know where to begin to place any blame and won't attempt to do so. Personally, I got hit with a chair I was taking away from someone near the Blue corner and punched by someone near the Red corner trying to break up a cluster of several combative people - whose names and loyalties I have no clue to. Nor do I care. I just hope that everyone is ok, from the boxers and corners to the couple of folks that were arrested. And the lady that was having a medical issue near ringside.
Hopefully some lessons were learned by a few people tonight. Like that boxing is a sport, not an extension of the street. And that sportsmanship and respect need to be maintained by all involved in the sport of boxing. None of us need to sink to the level of the dumbest, drunkest yahoo in the audience.
My only real embarrassing moment of the night was when a few casual fans asked me "How often does that happen?" Boxing needs PR, but not that kind!
Let's all learn from this little bit o' crap, improve ourselves and our sport, and move on.

I refereed the bout - both boxers were mugging at each other from their corners before it even started.
I broke them a couple of times without incident, when the red corner boxer began holding the blue corner boxer behind the head near the doctor's neutral corner. It was my intention to caution Red for this foul. Red ignored my clear, repeated instruction to stop, delivered from about three feet away. Blue, also ignoring the stop command, attempted to push Red out of the ring over the top rope. I moved in to separate the boxers and issue cautions to both boxers. All of this happened in no more than five seconds.
At that point, Red began to curse at Blue, which the rules clearly state is grounds for disqualification. It was clear to me that there was not going to be a way to continue the bout without endangering the safety of one or both boxers, because they were not following the rules, and because of the lack of sportsmanship. Put simply, this was no longer a contest of skill with rules that could be called a sport. I disqualified the Red boxer for the bad language and speaking to his opponent (again, not allowed by rule).
Who was winning the bout is completely irrelevant. The fouling before the disqualification was initiated by Red, continued by Blue, and Red used his mouth rather than his gloves. Again, I will point out that all of this happened in a matter of seconds, and decisive action was taken according to the rules of the sport.
The red corner boxer became upset and tried to get at the Blue boxer. My job then became to keep the boxers separated, which I did, guiding the blue corner boxer (who was in front of me at the time) to the referee's neutral corner, away from the people who were jumping into the ring. I restrained Blue several times from joining the melee that developed.
After the ring was cleared, I disqualified both boxers for their actions, and the actions of their coaches and supporters. Again, by rule.
It would be foolish of me to try and characterize the motivations and intentions of the coaches (and non-coaches) who got into the ring. My hope would be that they were trying to assist me in keeping the boxers separated, but clearly that was not the end result.

Embarrassing night for boxing. Shame on the Brunette fans for following and attacking Hoshang near the locker room. Fans have no business interacting with the athletes. Last night was sickening.

I was not there, but if Bruces ppl went after Hoshang, the same thing happened with Chute's ppl trying to go after Jarrett in Golden Gloves....sounds as if this is a re-occuring theme for the Bums at Brunettes.

Who wuz winning WAS relevant cause that's why Bruce was irritated. And that's why Hoshang was pissed and lashed out. Cause you turned around and didn't lash out at Bruce but instead immediately disqualified Hoshang. Al B taunting Hoshang didn't help the situation? If they were cussing out each other then why didnt u DQ someone before then?

Your statement is false. I was right there. There were several females from Brunettes instigating, yelling, cussing as Hoshang was walking to his locker room. Then a bunch of males ran in and jumped Hoshang as he walked to his locker room. The females were throwing punches and kicking/stomping Hoshang. Anyone associated with Bruce are classless THUGS. If any part of your statement is accurate, it's that THUGS scared children and made them cry. My post is %100 accurate. I was standing right there watching everything unfold in disbelief.

Ok Jroc, I'll be that. I guess I'm the idiot that was standing directly on the other side of the ropes while Bruce CLEARLY pushed Hoshang all the way back against the ropes so that his shoulders were on the ropes. Anyway, those of us with "indifferent" opinions know what REALLY happen. The rest of you can take sides I'm completely unbiased and I know what I saw. I'm done.
