Finally! The 3 minute rounds should have never been changed. USA and Olympic boxing has destroyed the art of boxing. This is 1 step in the right direction to getting this fine art back to where is once was.
Thank you

Punch,
Quite a few new things that should make for good questions at upcoming clinics...
A few more good ones:
- 16 oz gloves now mandatory for Master boxers. 3 X 2 or less for rounds.
- Incarcerated persons (If I'm reading this right) are no longer allowed to participate in USA Boxing sanctioned events. At all.
- Pro athletes are no longer barred from boxing, except those that have been paid participants in combat sports.
- Adhesive tape maximum increased to 6 feet per hand.
- Added Foul for excessive unsportsmanlike coaching.
- Weight tables changed to reflect AIBA weight classes.
And many more. The change synopsis itself is three pages printed. I'll post a link if I can find it again.

Question, what every happened to Alex Atempa coach, and the Bare Knuckles Boxing Club, both Alex home number and gym number are disconnected. Does anybody know how to get a hold of them?

Can everyone open the links in Petey's message? I don't know if I'm having comp issues but my browser freezes and I can't find the new rules anywhere else.

Is the golden glove tournament going to follow suit with the three minute rounds??? different organizations, just wondering if they're following the same rules? ?

just going through the rule book. It's showing youth boxers fighting 4 -2 minute rounds!! is this true for the silver glove tournament next weekend. I'm guessing not to many little guys trained for 8 minutes of boxing!!!!

Funny, now the links don't work for me either. And I can't find anything further linking to it from the USA boxing page. Under further revision perhaps? Hmmm...
