To answer your question T-bone the board for usa boxing at any level is elected and each lbc has a vote unlike the gloden gloves at any level they are appointed NOT VOTED on. Im not going to knock the gloden gloves it is a decent tournament .The problem with the golden gloves and the Silver gloves is that one person is the president of both the silver and golden gloves that person is ray rogers and he is the only one who does not want to follow the rules both gloden and silver gloves have agreed to follow as group members the other two group members do not have a problem following the rules they agreed to follow they are pal and the college boxing teams . It is not usa boxing or gloden gloves that is the problem it is Ray Rogers

I can't believe Sotto just didn't show up.? I heard Garcia lost a decision. What are Manny's chances at winning the golden gloves? Too bad Thompson was injured I thought he'd go far. Who is this Molina guy? I think I remember him as a good junior fighter?

Manny is the only one left. Not sure how he will do with a bigger and experience Hwt. since Manny hasn't fought much as a heavyweight. Outlaw lost a decision last night but he was impressive. Luis Molina did fight a few years ago in the juniors. He had a older brother who also boxed- I think Roberto. I remember Roberto boxing Joey Abell at a show at Rice Street when Joey was 16 and was a big light-heavyweight training down from 200; and Roberto was 165 going up to 178. Quite the mismatch in size and height. The Molina's had boxed for Jim Tonjum in the past.

Congratulations to all the athletes coming home from the tournament. It was a pleasure coaching this team and although we didn't rack up an impressive national ranking, all of our athletes fought with heart and determination, and gave some top athletes one hell of a good fight..I'd like to personally thank Joel Marsh and Sean Clerkin for making it possible for these young men to compete at this tournament.Their commitment to the golden glove boxing program is impressive if not heroic . Once again, thanks to all the athletes for pushing themselves to their full potential and more... P.S. and to the gentlemen in the earlier post who owes me his car! Where do I pick up the keys?
