That's kind of funny for someone that's been only boxing for 3 years shouldn't say nothing about boxing but to each to their own lol lf you knew so much and actually watch the fight Caraway obviously won 1st and 3rd. They both trained hard for these things why would they come half ass that doesn't make any sense. Zoo fight was really close but let me guess you thought he won but he clearly lost.Do you even know what your looking at?!?! Robert looked sharp yea for someone that is green as nuts. Ron you should get the facts straight before saying ANYTHING about anyone at the end of the day did you get a belt like some of these guys did cause last time i checked your name isnt even up there at all .

Wow. Miss T must be a pro. HA There were a group of guys around me who thought that Caraway could have lost that fight too. So I don't feel like the Lone Ranger. When I said if "I" fought for three years, I was referring to John LaPlante. If you can honestly tell me that LaPlante & Downwing were in shape and looked like they knew something about boxing, then I will know what kind of boxing experience you have. Have a great day...

Good to hear from ya Ron. I miss not being able to see the UMGG. I just watched the video posted with Caraway's bout. Tough one to judge. I wouldn't of argued either way. Caraway missed alot. Just about everytime his opponent would jab he would pull his head back and most judges think that he's being hit. I have seen Caraway look better, I beleive he should be more aggessive and use his strengths. I also heard the Super Heavyweight was sloppy. and one of them shouldn't even been in there. And Miss T, I think Ron knows what he is talking about, seen in action many times back in the 70's- back when it was harder to win a UMGG title. I look at majority of the coaches now and their names are not in the book: Sankara and Adonis Frazier, John Johnson, Jason Hendrickson, Scott Kelm, Bob Tubandt, Jesse Barbot, Shaun OConnor, Al Brunette, and so on. And so Miss T you have a opinion just like anyone else.

Im a boxer and i fought in the tournment this year one thing that bugs me is the judges dont know what the hell there doing. They F'd a few people outa fights. It will be nice when they switch to the ten point system. And Ron your right john is not going to have fun at nationals. But its all done.

I agree with you about the judges. It's been a problem for so many years. One of the problems is that there are too many judges that have never boxed before.

Right they dont know what clean punches are. And im not going to stop doing this tournment tell i win. So im not going to try and be a counter puncher anymore atleast not in the amateurs.

Terry, I was wondering if you know anything about Brandon Wallman? I heard he was from Virginia and fighting out of Hibbing. I wish I could have seen him fight. Your dad knew his coach, but I didn't recognize his name. It seems no one is happy with the judges except the winners. HA I seen all the judges were using the punch counters. I think a judge should just watch the fight and concentrate on the clean punches that land and go from there. Your dad and I had to laugh about how the times have changed. It's not his fault and I don't know if Brandon had a fight in regions, but he didn't have a fight in Cass Lake to get to the nationals. And your dad told me about when he had to fight six fights to get out of Hibbing. Two on Thursdaynight, two on Fridaynight and two on Saturdaynight. When I was looking at the match ups last year for the nationals, there were a bunch of byes there too. When are you headed back to Minnesota for vacation?

Brandon was also unopposed at regions, but he is good fighter. At regions, Brandon fought the unopposed 114 champion Kevin Harper and won.

Not a good start for our fighters. I see Sergio Gracia, Anthony Rose and Antonio Salazar all lost. Does anyone know if Justice Pomroy got a bye, or didn't he make the trip?

I heard yesterday that our 141 champ couldn't make the trip. Did anyone else not go?

Looks like day two wasn't much better then day one with Tavaras Roberts and Delorien Caraway losing. Our 114, 178 & 201 fighters weren't listed. So I don't know if they got byes or didn't make the trip. Does anyone know?
